The Challenge.

In these "unprecedented" times (god, i wish that the world still thought the word unprecedented, was still unprecedented), it hardly seems like a challenge. Watch 100 new films in a year. Erm, ok. And then what's next after that? Read a book? Actually add some feedback for recent purchases on eBay? Hey, maybe even do the ironing? Well, let's not run before we can walk.  

Seriously though, watching a film, old or new, is absolutely not a challenge.  100 of them? Alright then, let's do it.  It'll be like a constant rainy day bank holiday or that lost bit of time between Christmas and New Year.  Please though, don't call it Twixmas. For the love of an actual God....NOT TWIXMAS!!!

Then it dawned on me.  When have i actually watched a film recently where i feel like i've fully paid attention? I'm not sure i can fully remember. There's a rule.  No phones.  Not even if i want to be pedantic and attempt to pick apart the historical accuracies.  Or if i want to find out who that was playing the protagonists cousin because i swear they had a walk on part in an obscure nineties sitcom that i'm sure no-one else can remember (here's a clue.....they didn't!)

The other rule i'm going to stick to is that the film has to be new to me.  One i've literally never seen before.  Always thought that people including films they had seen multiple times in these sorts of lists was a bit odd.  Hardly breaking new ground.  So, previously unseen films it is! 

The final rule is that this has to all be done in a year.  One entire metric or imperial year.  No more. No less. Although, to be different, i've started this on Boxing Day 2020.  Why bother waiting till a new year to keep it all nice and neat when i've got all that Twixmas time to put towards watc.......ah for fucks sake.   Time to cancel myself for using the T word.

Ok. I think that's about it. There's only 100 of them so how hard can it be! Should be done by mid February! Let's go!
